Since my husband wanted to build a fire pit where the raised-bed garden sit, we moved the garden to the side of our fence, so I asked to double the size. Yet the big maple tree nearby still blocks good chunk of hours during the day, I only grow veggies that are easy to grow – tomatoes, eggplants, spicy peppers, spinach, and herbs. To my surprise, with the record high amount of rainfall in July, it yielded good amount of tomatoes! The picture only showed last week’s harvest.. including the chanterelles I found at my usual spots!
